Where to Print

Printing at home is a great option if you have an inkjet printer.

If you don’t want to print at home, I highly recommend using a print shop like OfficeMax, Staples, or even your local neighborhood printer. They have the widest variety of paper options.

Avoid photo labs like Walgreens and Target who usually only offer glossy photo paper.

Paper Recommendations

If you have access to it, a fine art paper is perfect for printing your portrait on.

If you don’t have access to fine art paper, a high-quality card stock is a good second choice.

Both of these types of papers will absorb the ink and offer a little bit of texture, which will make for an even more authentic-looking watercolor print!

Glossy photo papers can cause unwanted reflections and should be avoided. If you have to use a photo paper, make sure it is matte.
